Pinterest is a valuable content sharing service connecting themes, inspiration, and ideas between the pinners and the followers. Each pin and post created was linked to the ecommerce store.
Building a social media follower count is about listening to your audience and being consistent with publishing new content. My social media content planning helped spike followers with a fun giveaway. Recognizing the target consumers desire to voice an opinion, I created a contest to vote between two coats. This was the highest performing asset not only for the sales challenging season of winter, but produced the most successful engagement all year.
Editorial design for a fashion website is the most tangible example of content-driven work. I drew inspiration from the Delftware pattern found on a skirt to create a visually appealing web banner marrying together an image and copy. The model photography selections and coordination also supported the style advice destination page on the website. This specialized page included a sub banner linking consumers to the Facebook campaign for cross-platform exposure.
Having a visual merchandising retail sales background in fashion and apparel, I felt comfortable and in my element assisting with flat shoot product photography sessions. Final images act as creative collateral, supporting all marketing channels from print to digital.
To promote a new arrivals spring collection, I designed a social media campaign encompassing the excitement for renewal and awakening. Through research and planning, I devised a giveaway campaign from copy-writing to design with a spring cleaning message. From start to finish, creating and building a website for this client was a gratifying opportunity. Upon conducting research, benchmarking and analysis, I created a logo and brand identity for my client. I conducted user experience (UX) testing with a few willing participants who happened to fit the demographic profile for the site. From this research, I created a vertical navigation bar similar to a list style because the test users like to write lists, keeping organized. The site served to educate, with heavy text to read. I designed a centered readable page view to maximize legibility and user ability.

Learning about the art of typography in College felt familiar and natural to me. As a child, my first drawings were letters and numbers. No stick people! This College typography project began with researching a typeface and then crafting a book based on the typographic choice. Key elements to cover were providing a how to on typesetting, creating type as an image, a history of the typeface, and explaining the anatomy of the typeface.
